Who We Are

As Scouts, we prepare young people with skills for life. Every week, 1st Fenstanton and Hilton Scout Group provides 85 boys and girls aged 6 to 14 the chance to take part in exciting, challenging and adventurous activities to develop the skills they need now and in the future.

We offer a huge range of outdoor and indoor activities, allowing young people to develop practical skills from cooking and coding to fire lighting and first aid, character skills like independence and resilience, and employability skills such as teamwork and leadership, on top of having lots of fun!

Anyone can be a Scout – we are all about bringing young people together to enjoy fun, friendship and adventure in a place they can belong, and making a positive impact on our community.

What’s more, Scouts is not just for young people! We rely on an extensive team of adult volunteers to make the adventure happen in almost any role you could imagine. Whatever your skillset or background, you can volunteer for as much time as you can offer. In return you’ll receive full training to develop your own skills, alongside becoming part of a worldwide community, making friendships and memories for life, and shaping young people’s lives for the better.
