Congratulations to Charlie Hitchins on her amazing achievement of earning her SECOND Chief Scout Gold Award at the end of 2016! This is the highest award that any member of the Scout Troop can earn so to complete the requirements once is a huge success, for her to do so in full for a second time is outstanding.
As part of her efforts Charlie decided to organise volunteers from the Troop to go around her home village carol singing just before Christmas, not as a fundraiser but just to brighten people's evening. It obviously worked as just look at this great feedback "Christmas had been made all the better by the spontaneous carol singers that appeared at her door, she was absolutely thrilled with the singing so I just thought I would feed that back to you! You have made an old lady very happy - so well done!"
Charlie has now moved up to Explorer Scouts, and hopes to become a Young Leader very soon.
Well done Charlie, another great role model for our younger members to be inspired by!
