Yet again it is a pleasure to be able to say a huge well done to the 19 Beavers, 14 Cubs, 11 Scouts and 5 Young Leaders who stood to remember today - and who made their leaders proud with the way in which they paid tribute. We know it was a bit nippy (even in the sunshine) but a little chill for a while is of course actually nothing in comparison to those we are there to remember...........
A particular thank you to those who carried flags, formed colour parties, gave readings, helped with the collection and laid the wreath - plus those parents who were roped in to help with "traffic duty". Well done too for those who were no able to join us on the day, but who took part elsewhere in uniform.
Next year the event falls on Sunday 11th November, and of course 2018 sees the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1, so please put the date in your diary now - it would be good to see even more of our young people take part.
Here's some of the great photos we have been sent, and will load the remainder tomorrow.
