Details of how to use the Group Account we have with Glasgow Scout Shops, how to obtain District / County badges and various other places to purchase items.
The cost of District / County / Staged / Participation badges, Group name tapes and neckers all come from general Group funds.
All lost / damaged badges / neckers have to be paid for via BACS at the fee of cost price of the item rounded up to the nearest pound.
|County & District Badges||These are obtained from the District Badge Secretary. Her name is Pat Tyler and her details are in the Cromwell District Directory (a copy is on a link on this page )|
|Directory of Scouting and Guiding Suppliers||
A website that pulls lots of potential suppliers into one place - free to search / have an electronic copy
The following shops all offer discounts to scouting adults (although always ask elsewhere too - the worst they can say is "no"):
|Glasgow Scout Shop||
As a Group we now have an account with them, so unless they are out of stock or prices are much cheaper elsewhere please use this shop for all items that they stock - including all official badges. This means items can be ordered, charged to our account and we then pay direct via BACS from our Group bank account. The following can all use this facility (on-line and by phone) so contact any one of them if you need to order - Julianne Ince, Jess Lockwood, Cathy Fewtrell, Louise Clover, Lynne Radbone and Tracy Leavold.
|Group camping kit||
All our camping kit is mostly stored in a shipping container on a farm in Elsworth. The keys are held in the key lock box inside the upstairs store in the Fenstanton Scout HQ. Any questions / queries / access please contact any leader, Lynne or Louise. It may also be possible to borrow items such as Patrol tents through James Hutchings (GSL-1st Papworth)
This is where the Group neckers have been purchased from most recently. It is also where the Cub, Scout and Jack Dady woggles have come from (if you put "Fenstanton" in the search box on their website you will see all of them).
This is where the Group St George's Day badges are from - they do a range of stock and adaptable badges, plus will of course do entirely bespoke designs to.
