Squirrels is the newest branch of the Scouts family - where 4-6 year olds can join the adventure too! This is an age when minds are fizzing, when energy and curiosity levels are sky high, when little lives are full of wow and wonder.
We are hoping to bring Squirrels to 1st Fenstanton and Hilton Scouts! We are currently seeking bright eyed and bushy tailed new recruits to join our new Squirrels Drey - both young people to join the adventure, and the adult volunteers to make it happen.
Every week, Squirrels will gather to grow and learn their way through lots of different games and activities. They’ll tell stories and play games, get active and explore the outdoors. Squirrels can achieve anything they set their minds to – and have lots of fun along the way.
The weekly sessions will be packed with outdoors activities, fun, games, badges, laughter, and so much more to help our youngest members learn the skills they need for life. They will be a brilliant opportunity for young people to take their first step into being part of Scouts, and help everyone get ready for the adventure of school too.
Squirrels Open Evening
Wednesday 2nd October 2024, 5.30-6.20pm, Fen Drayton Village Hall
To get Squirrels started, we’re holding an Open Evening for potential Squirrels and their parents/carers – if your child is age 3, 4 or 5, bring them along to see what an adventure in Squirrels could be like! Please RSVP by filling out this form.
We will also be holding an information evening (for adults only) on Tuesday 8th October, 7.15-8.00pm, at Fen Drayton Village Hall. Come along to find out how you can help make Squirrels happen for children in Fenstanton, Hilton and Fen Drayton.
